Ill Biskits-Chronicle Of Two Losers - 1996 -

un LP extrem de rar

Ill Biskits is a two man crew, most likely from NYC (even though I??â‚¬â„?ve been told that they might be from Virginia), and they released two singles back in 1996 on Atlantic Recordings Corp, ??â‚¬?Chill factor??â‚¬? and ??â‚¬?God bless your life??â‚¬? (the last one was promo-only). A full length album titled ??â‚¬?Chronicle of two losers??â‚¬? was supposed to follow, but to my knowledge this was never officially released. I did find a small picture on the web though which appears to be the front cover of their album, so who knows, maybe a few copies did hit the streets. Like many unreleased albums it somehow did get ripped by one of the many mp3 squads out there, so luckily I did get a chance to check out the album. And it??â‚¬â„?s nice, very nice??â‚¬Â¦

Ultramagnetic MC's - Critical beatdown (1988)

Part B-Boys and part Bad Boys, the Ultramagnetic MC's took a series of mind-blowing singles, including "Ease Back" and "Funky," wrapped them around at least as many new tracks, and released Critical Beatdown, one of the greatest new-school albums. Combining seriously dog-eared samples (James Brown's "Funky Drummer" appears out of tradition, more than necessity, on "Give the Drummer Some," and the Meters' "Look-Ka Py Py" provides the backbone for "Ease Back") with very clipped rhyme patterns from the Kool Moe Dee/Big Daddy Kane school of linguistics, Ultra's style lives on in everyone from 2Pac to Company Flow. Production is tight, and the two-headed leadership of Ced-Gee and lunatic genius Kool Keith (just try to decode his astral cipher on "Ain't It Good to You") makes this album shoulders above other new-school heads. --Todd Levin

da...deci lasand la o parte comentariile , multumesc celor care cred ca se enerveaza foarte tare dar inca mai culturalizeaza. arigo, lazar si ceilalti.

Arrested Development - 3 Years 5 Months & 2 Days In The Life Of

Original Release Date: March 24, 1992

With their feel-good humanism, uniquely rural perspective, and melodic blend of funk and rap, Arrested Development seemed like the next big thing in 1992. The group hailed from Atlanta, which was not then a capital of hip-hop and R&B, and this, their debut recording, won the Village Voice's Pazz & Jop critics poll. Speech, the primary lyricist, wrote and delivered eloquent attacks on gangsta rap's mindless nihilism: the band's first hit, "Tennessee," spoke of reclaiming Southern black traditions from the racism that sullied their memory, while their second, "People Everyday," deftly updated the Sly Stone classic. Although Speech's rapping style was not distinctive, Dionne Farris's keening vocals highlighted the band's front line. Unfortunately, Speech began to run short of ideas and the band failed to maintain the high standards that this debut set. They disbanded a few years later. --Martin Johnson
