"Rap star Jayceon "The Game" Taylor was arrested in New York on Thursday (Nov. 16) and charged with impersonating an undercover police officer.

In what is shaping up to be a bizarre incident, police claim the rapper ordered a cab driver to run several traffic lights, because he was an undercover police officer.

"This is a ploy by the Hip-Hop police to humiliate me, because they harass and follow me every time I come to New York," The Game told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "I was in New York promoting my album. I never impersonated anyone especially and absolutely never a police officer."

Police claim the rapper was in a Lincoln Town Car near 56th and 7th Avenue that ran through several traffic lights.

Police officers stopped the cab for driving erratically at 43rd Street and 6th Avenue.

The driver of the cab reportedly told the police that his passenger was an undercover officer.

Police promptly arrested The Game and charged him with impersonating a police officer.

The Game was in New York promoting his new album Doctor's Advocate."

Now y'all see that i was right. Look out for the next G Unit mixtape directed at Game's finished career. It will drop soon after Lloyd's More Money In The Bank Part. 5. That will contain huge songs directed at Game and his blackwallstreet movement. There will be some nasty guests outside G Unit camp who protected Game's once. You know... maybe will be Eminem, Jay Z or Dr.Dre. You will see. Cuz when i told you that Dre would not be on Game's album, y'all was like oh 50 is lyin' and shit and now you look at me and say DAMN he did it. He really did it. Well with this last album Game pushed some niggas nerves and you know who they are if you listen to that tape again. Anyway till that shit i hope that Game gon do 1 million even if it's not in a week as he says but still, and be ready for Buck The World and a Buck and Jeezy mixtape which is hot. My album gon drop probably next summer and it will be more like Get Rich mixed with more feelings from me cuz with Massacre i just tested the market and now i know what's the best for me. Behind my album is me, 50 Cent, Dr.Dre and Eminem. Dre will have some tracks, Hi Tek too, Scott Storch, Blaze, Prodigy, I even talked with Preemo for that shit and he has to give me an answer till December so...be ready cuz I'll be back."
