Doua mixtape-uri si un album! Canibus revine-n forta in 2007
Pfoa! Canibus ne promite ca in 2007 va lansa doua mixtape-uri; �Nothing To Prove� si �Nothing To Lose� - urmate de un nou album, intitulat �C of Tranquility�. A lucrat foarte mult acest an, iar roadele se vor vedea in prima parte a anului viitor. Canibus a plecat de la Babygrande Records si de la Head Trauma; isi va lansa materialele sub label-ul personal, Mic Club Music, materiale distribuite de catre Universal Music Group.
Pe cele doua mixtape-uri vor aparea ca invitati speciali.. Nas, DJ Premier, Wyclef Jean, GZA, Tha Dogg Pound, Tyrese, Domingo, Prince Paul, MF Doom, Stoupe (Jedi Mind Tricks), Butch Cassidy, Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), J. Wells, K-Solo, Doug E. Fresh, PlusScience, Mya si multi altii. Mixtape-urile vor fi distribuite in toata lumea si vor contine si cateva filmari (format DVD) cu Canibus din perioada anilor 1998-2006. Royce Da 5'9" Released From Jail; Hits The Studio
After being sentenced to a year in jail back in September of 2006 for parole violation, Detroit rapper Royce Da 5'9" is now free.
After only serving a few months of the year sentence for a DUI charge in Oakland County, which resulted in him violating terms of his parole, the rapper was freed by Trusty Camp on a work release program.
"We're happy to have Royce home and very excited to continue working on the new album. This will be a big year for both Royce and the M.I.C. movement," said Kino, Royce's manager and co-CEO of M.I.C. Records, in a statement released to BallerStatus.com.
After being released, Royce went directly into the studio to work on new music. The first material to drop will be a new mixtape, entitled The Bar Exam, which will be hosted by DJ Premier and Statik Selektah.
It is slated to hit the street early February.

New Bjork Album To Feature Antony, Timbaland
Bjork talks new record! Well, as NME says, bjork.com's "official correspondent" Meester Fly has posted this report on the site after a correspondence with our favorite Icelandic siren. Details are still sketchy, but we can look forward to Timbaland production, Lightning Bolt percussion, and the gotta-hear-it-to-believe-it sound of Antony and Bjork harmonizing.
Being the one and only I got sent new songs from Björk. These songs are to be on the new album she has been working on for the past months. She has been all around the world to record, working with numerous people from truly different background. I have been left with many thoughts after listening to these tracks, the first impression is that I want to hear more, as I did not get everything shortlisted for the record. It made me excited.
The only thing I have heard prior of the making of this new record was a collaboration with Timbaland was being penned in. They met for a couple of sessions and laid down some beats for two tracks, "then I took these tracks and worked on them further", says Björk. This is true, as I hear that she has taken them to a another level.
We speak about the many collaborators on this record and the list is very interesting as Antony Hegerty duets on two tracks. Drummer Chris Corsano jumps into at least the 2 songs. New sounds and instrumentation are provided by Toumani Diabate who plays the Kora and Konono nr.1 with electric thumb pianos. More percussive delights come from Brian Chippendale from Lightning Bolt Great artists being drafted into the fold!
This list is very impressive and intriguing and from this first batch of song create a very unique sound and emotion. Nothing sounds really familiar about this experience, apart from the name of Mark Bell, him I know. And Sjón, turns to form to deliver one lyric, his 5th lyric since they started work together. This record is a Björk production par excellence. No stone left unturned to seek out the perfect pitch.
Meester Fly goes on to say that the record is due out this spring, and that Bjork promised him (her?) a tour this year. Which will come this close to making us feel better about missing the Sugacubes reunion last year. Also, Bjork, if possible, we'd love some pictures of Antony and Timba kicking it in the studio. That's the kind of stock picture that has got to come in handy sometime.

Producatorul lui 50 a murit
Dave Shayman, cunoscut şi sub numele Disco D, cel care a produs albumul "The Massacre" a lui 50 Cent, a fost găsit mort în New York/SUA. El avea 26 de ani şi din primele cercetări a rezultat faptul că s-ar fi sinucis. Disco D a lucrat şi alături de Kevin Federline, ajutându-l pe acesta să se afirme pe scena hip-hop, dar fără succes.
Surse din cadrul poliţiei au precizat că Disco D suferea de o formă gravă de depresie.
