Rock The Bells EUROPE!

Post by Alin-San »

A number of Hip Hop legends will join rock and reggae stars and take to the stage for the third annual We the People Festival this Saturday in Los Angeles.

The event at L.A.'s State Historic Park will feature performance by the RZA [click to read], EPMD, DJ Premier, Murs [click to read], Dilated Peoples and Sean Price. The “socially conscious” festival, produced by Project Sweatshop and Grass Roots, will also feature rockers Les Claypool, Tom Morello, Shavo Odadjian, as well as renown Reggae acts Barrington Levy and Eek A Mouse, among others.

The organizers hope the concert serves as “stimulant in social awareness an an encompassing platform within the urban community to inspire the involvement and active participation of the conscious urban youth.”

Green party presidential nominee Cynthia McKinney, Congressional candidate Cindy Sheehan and other speakers will address the festival attendees.

Tickets are $45 general admission, $100 VIP admission. For a complete list of acts, visit WeThePeopleFestival.com.

In other news, European fans don't have to wait any longer for a chance to experience Rock the Bells, the acclaimed festival tour that hit 10 U.S. cities this summer with a line-up featuring Hip Hop's superstars and most buzzed-about newcomers.

Traveling hip-hop festival Rock the Bells will make its European debut this fall with performances by Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul, the Pharcyde, EPMD, Supernatural and Scratch, among others. The European trek launches Oct. 31 at the T-Mobile Arena in Prague, with a handful of dates scheduled through mid-November.

"We are continually trying to push the envelope so we can continue to support these artists and their careers globally," Rock the Bells founder and organizer Chang Weisberg of Guerilla Union told Billboard.com in April.

Rock the Bells' initial round of European dates will feature various artists appearing in Amsterdam (Nov. 1), Stockholm (Nov. 4), Birmingham (Nov. 6), Paris (Nov. 10) and Manchester (Nov. 12). The tour will be presented by SanDisk, and promoted by Guerilla Union in association with Live Nation.

Rock the Bells' inaugural visit to Europe arrives on the heels of its recent 10-date run of North American amphitheaters, which featured A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul, Rakim, Pharcyde, Santogold, Kid Sister, Cool Kids and Murs, among others. Eight shows grossed $4 million and drew more than 87,000 people, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Ar fi bine sa va hotarati azi fiindca pretul biletului de avion creste de la o zi la alta. De sambata pana duminica s-a scumpit cu 50 RON (as in 2 geuri :D)

De cand am postat pana in momentul de fata s-a scumpit cu 50 euro biletul dus, deci nu e vreme de pierdut.
