Although albums from Jay-Z, Kanye West, 50 Cent and even Eminem are expected this year, the highest anticipated album of all seems to be Dr. Dre's "Detox." Bishop Lamont, the only other artist on Dre's Aftermath label besides Eminem (as Lamont says), recently releaed a video [watch here] where he says Dre is turning the album in soon, with a single coming in November and the album in December. [watch here]

Dre previously told USA Today back in July [read here] that he was "shooting for a November or December release." Dre went on to talk about the album saying "We have an entirely new thing going with the drums that's incredible, and we're still developing that." Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Nas are just some rappers who have been rumored to be on the album.

Membrii Cypress Hill sunt acuzati ca au incalcat legile copyright-ului, dupa ce un cantaret de blues-uri a sustinut ca acestia i-au copiat o piesa fara a-i cere acordul.

Syl Johnson pretinde ca trupa rap si-a facut single-ul din 1993 `Lock Down` dupa un fragment din piesa lui `Is It Because I’m Black?`

Piesa cu pricina este inclusa pe albumul din 1993 al Cypress Hill , `Black Sunday`.

Johnson vrea acum despagubiri de 29 milioane $. Cypress Hill nu au confirmat informatia.

M.O.P. Sue Wrestler John Cena for $150K

Sample clearances have long been an issue among producers (see: Kanye West, Jermaine Dupri) in Hip Hop. However, in the most recent lawsuit concerning an illegal sample clearance, the two parties at hand include M.O.P. and a wrestler-turned rapper.

According to a document obtained by TMZ.com, the New York duo has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against WWE’s John Cena and his collective entities. The lawsuit alleges that Cena used a sample of M.O.P.’s 2000 anthem “Ante Up,” with Lil’ Fame’s signature battle cry clearly evident.

The document states, “The infringing work includes a distinctive freestyle rap—'BRRR Abado' that has been sampled from the infringed work and is clearly repeated three times in the infringing work; at the introduction, the second chorus and the third chorus.”

The song in question is Cena’s “Time Is Now,” which has been used on both the compilation WWE: Raw’s Greatest Hits-The Music, and Cena’s 2005 debut album You Can’t See Me, which subsequently went gold.

M.O.P. alleges that Cena and Colombia Records, who released the song, were not granted the sample clearance to use their vocals on “Time Is Now.” The suit also claims clearance was later illegally obtained from a receptionist at Next Level Groove Music (M.O.P.’s former partner's label), which has no affiliation with M.O.P. or Blaze Entertainment, Inc.

Because of the copyright infringement, M.O.P. are seeking damages exceeding $150,000, along with royalties received from digital and ringtone sales of “Time Is Now.”

Si Saul Williams s-a implicat in campania electorala

Dear History,
For too long have I pondered your meaning, memorized dates of battles, years of servitude, decades of injustice, named eras after movements, mourned the extinction of species, cursed founding fathers, worn vintage suits and cloaked myself with references of your hold on me.

I have walked through museums wondering how it is that greatness had lived and died all before my time. Parts of me feared becoming great because it seemed to include a price of death and a postmortem glory that my memory could never resurrect. I've stared at paintings dying to catch glimpses of the painter, closed my eyes to listen to songs that drunken ghosts dance to, and all the while I've fought to FREE the present to BECOME.

In 1995, I stood with poets in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge, barking metaphors at the new moon of the summer solstice wedging words into it's craters, sewing seeds through nightly wind.

In 1996, I forced the ocean back with words, fathered planets, climbed pyramids, and began to decipher the sirens song to conjure the dream-filled Children of the Night.

In 1997, I stood with prisoners in our nations capitol bending bars with the power of thought as wordsmiths served sentences and Hip Hop diddy-dandified itself: stealing golden calves from the Old Testament to smuggle into the lavish crib of Pontius Pilate for it's birthday party

In 1998, I swallowed fear and sun-danced on film reels, projecting a me that had not been into a me that ever shall be.

And HERE I stand, ten years the difference and witness to changing hands.

Dear History,
I beat you. I stand a generator of generations bearing witness to a world that we are holding accountable for past actions. Me and my friends, we're changing our diets, re-inventing marriage, check-mating capitalism, re-defining ethics, replacing cruelty with compassion, and have sworn not to re-elect the sins of the father.

We are casting our votes for so much more than a lesser of evils, but for change, and greater insight, for wisdom out of the mouths of babes, for races that bleed into ONE.

Dear History,
You are behind us and we are no longer looking back. We are standing on the threshold of new times, new days, new worlds, and charging forward without battle cry or trumpet, while cynicism, apathy, and cowardice take their place beside you, behind us.

Dear History,
We no longer believe in you. We have invested our our thoughts and dreams into the present moment and opportunity to shift our reality into one that does not resemble your dog-eared books.

We stand on the shoulders of those who have dared to dream and on the necks of those who have wasted their time and ours proclaiming a past past its prime.

Dear History,
Blitz! It's my turn now. You can have your mounds of flesh, leather boots, cannons and sabers, nooses and guillotines, warships and fighter planes, trails of tears and blood, genocides, dungeons and dragons, ghost stories and fairy tales..........

Come on guys! Help me out! ~ Saul

The Los Angeles Coroner's Office has determined that the untimely death of Dr. Dre's son, Andre Young Jr., was caused by an overdose of heroin and morphine.

"This case has been closed, it's been ruled an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication," coroner spokesman Larry Dietz told People Magazine.

Young was found unresponsive in his home late last August. Paramedics were unable to revive the 20 year old who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Young's mother, Jenita Porter, told investigators that her son had been out with friends that night, and she recalled hearing him snoring around 5:30 a.m.

Dr. Dre has been quiet regarding the incident, a statement released by his publicist reads as follows:

"Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son, please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time."

Sa-ti moara stomacu:
