ma, eu ziceam de albumul care s-a vandut cel mai bine (ca asa e numele topicului), nu de cel mai vandut artist, ca asa normal ca sunt artisti ca de ex. 2pac, care are peste 10 albume, si toate-s vandute de milioane de ori, normal ca daca le aduni e mai bine vandut 2pac ca si fugees (nu "the" fugees, cum scrie xan yan, mai uite-te si tu pe coperta).
ready to die e de 8x Platinum in total, adica uite-te un pic mai jos si fa un calcul.
100,000 units: Oro album
200,000 units: Platino album
400,000 units: Multi-Platino album
500,000 units: Gold album
1,000,000 units: Platinum album
10,000,000 units: Diamond album
in legatura cu albumu lui hammer: "The album eventually went on to become the first hip-hop album to reach diamond status, selling more than 10 million units."

am avut cd-ul in original in mana... cum traduci "the" in romana!?
la eventualele cifre pe care le veti gasi despre numarul de albume vandute, ca sa va faceti o idee corecta, trebuie sa aveti grija sa se refere la numarul de unitati vandute worldwide, nu intr-o anumita tara, sau america de nord, sau europa...

2. MC Hammer – Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em , din '90... un succes total, peste 10 milioane exemplare
3. The Notorious B.I.G. – Life After Death, 1997, lansat la 2 luni dupa moartea lui Biggie. Albumul a fost vandut in jur de 10 milioane de exemplare.
4. Eminem- The Marshall Matters LP, 2000, care a vandut 1,7 milioane copii in prima saptamana, devenind " the fastest-selling rap album in history". Nr. total de vanzari se zice ca a depasit 10 milioane.
5. Eminem – The Eminem Show, din 2002, album care ocupa locul 317 din 500 albume din toate timpurile al revistei Rolling Stones, a depasit de asemenea cifra de 10 milioane de vanzari.

mda...pe vremuri hip-hop'ul bun vindea bine,acum,in aceasta epoca teribil de materialista si dezinteresata de cunoastere si stiinta,adevarata cultura hip-hop s-a ascuns in subteran,de unde incearca sa trezeasca oamenii de rand la realitate(deschizandu-le al 3-lea ochi )...si am uitat sa mentionez...Real Hip-Hop is missing from the shelf
