La cei 46 (s-a născut în data de 20 august 1965) de ani ai săi, KRS-One încă reușește să miște hip-hop-ul mondial. În cei 28 de ani de activitate muzicală, KRS a lansat 12 albume solo, 5 albume în colaborare cu artiști precum Marley Marl, Buckshot, True Master, Showbiz și Bumpy Knuckles și 5 compilații/best of-uri…

Ultimul lui album se numește “The BDP album” și a fost lansat acum 4 zile, în data de 10 ianuarie 2012 cu 682 Records. Albumul este în colaborare cu Kenny Parker, conține 14 piese și 3 colaborări: cu Channel Live, Jesse West și Inyang Bassey.

Pentru cei ce nu știu, BDP (Boogie Down Productions) este o trupă compusă din KRS-One, D-Nice și Dj Scott La Rock, cel din urmă fiind asasinat în data de 27 august 1987, la câteva luni dupa lansarea albumului de debut BDP, intitulat “Criminal minded”.
