Lace Up is the upcoming debut studio album by American rapper MGK, set to be released on October 9, 2012 through Bad Boy and Interscope Records. The album will feature artists such as his friend DMX, as well Ester Dean, Twista, Tech N9ne, Bun B, Lil Jon, Young Jeezy, and among others.

"Hold On (Shut Up)" is a song by American hip hop recording artist MGK. The song, released on August 6, 2012, serves as the third single from his debut studio album Lace Up (2012). The single features vocals from American rapper, Young Jeezy and was produced by JP Did This 1.

The song was officially released through a mixtape by DJ Clue, called Desert Storm Radio: The Takeover, which was released on August 6, 2012 and would later be featured on MGK's mixtape "EST 4 Life" featuring DUBO, which was released on August 13,2012. On August 7, 2012, MGK announced in a Ustream session that the song would be the third single for his upcoming album, Lace Up.

"Invincible" is a song by American hip hop recording artist MGK. The song, released on April 24, 2012, serves as the second single from his debut studio album Lace Up (2012). The single features vocals from American singer and songwriter, Ester Dean and was produced by Alex da Kid

MGK shot a video for the single, which featured a cameo appearance from the singer Ester Dean. The video was uploaded on YouTube under his Vevo account, on June 3, 2012. The video, directed by Isaac Rentz portrays the struggle and triumph of everyday people in the clip, which depicts an unexpected pregnancy and neighborhood brawl. In his scenes, MGK rushes to a hospital to check on his daughter, who happens to reunite him with his ex-girlfriend. Singer-songwriter Ester Dean roams the hospital hallways, singing the chorus

"Wild Boy" is a song by American hip hop recording artist MGK. The song, released September 27, 2011, serves as his debut single and the lead single from his debut EP Half Naked & Almost Famous (2012). The single features fellow American rapper Waka Flocka Flame and was produced by GB Hitz and Southside. The song was initially included on his fourth mixtape, Rage Pack (2011) and later included on his major-label debut studio album Lace Up (2012).

Music video

The music video, directed by Spliff TV and Maybach Music Films, was released to MGK's Vevo on November 16, 2011. The video depicts MGK at his girlfriend’s house having dinner with her parents along with the song’s featured artist Waka Flocka Flame. During dinner, the girl’s parents ask Waka Flocka Flame what he "does for a living," in which Waka Flocka Flame responds by hitting her father in the head with a glass bottle and the two artists answer with a wild warehouse performance of ‘Wild Boy’ where stage diving, bonfires, Steve-O references and partying ensues. The video features cameo appearances from jeweler Johnny Dang, comedian Katt Williams, and rapper Layzie Bone.

The video for the remix was released April 26, 2012.
Remixes

The official remix was released on March 14, 2012, which featured 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Mystikal, French Montana, Yo Gotti and - the person who which the song is referenced - Steve-O providing an intro. The remix was officially released, removing Steve-O's intro and outro from the single, to digital retailers, like iTunes and Amazon on May 22, 2012[5] and again with Steve-O's intro and outro to digital retailers on May 29, 2012.

A remix from producer Ricky Luna was included on the soundtrack to the film Project X.

Machine Gun Kelly and Tyga have been tapped to host MTV2's "The Dub Magazine Project."

On the first episode of the second series, debuting on Sunday, October 28th at 1 p.m. EST, will offer insight into the lives of Mac Miller, Mike Epps, Travis Barker, Vaughn Gittin and Meek Mill.
