J Dilla - Ruff Draft (2007)

Stones Throw will continue its tribute to J Dilla with the March 6 reissue of the late producer’s Ruff Draft LP.

Originally a vinyl-only release on Dilla’s own Mummy Records, Ruff Draft got its name from being produced with the intention to sound like an old cassette. Four previously unreleased tracks from the Ruff Draft sessions, including alternate versions of “Intro” and “Shouts”, are included in the reissue, which comes in both double CD and double LP formats. The second disc of each is devoted to instrumentals.
